CosyPanels® Conservatory Roof Insulation Panels

The UK’s best option for insulating your conservatory. Discover how our insulation panels can transform your conservatory.

How is CosyPanels different from multifoil insulation?

Conservatory roof insulation generally falls into three categories: internal multifoil insulation fitted beneath the existing roof, insulated replacement roof panels, and complete tiled/solid roof conversions.

CosyPanels is an insulated replacement-panel system designed to replace existing glass or polycarbonate panels without requiring a heavy tiled roof.

Benefits of CosyPanels® Conservatory Insulation Panels

1 Cooler in the summer

CosyPanels® conservatory insulation panels are precision made from lightweight materials. Within every panel is a thick layer of insulation, which is densely packed. This will help to prevent the warm weather making your conservatory too hot during the summer.

2 Warmer in the winter

CosyPanels® are manufactured to fit your existing framework. We make them from lightweight composition and they contain up to 50mm of high-density foam insulation. This makes them significantly more efficient than polycarbonate panels. So, when you heat your…

3 Quieter in bad weather

Our conservatory roofs will help you relax in your room, without distraction. The thermal insulation within each roof panel helps to mute noise from rain, when compared to polycarbonate roofs. Every roof is made up from a bespoke number of insulated conservatory roof panels. The panels are…

4 Energy efficient

CosyPanels® provide much higher levels of insulation than glass or polycarbonate. With up to 50mm of high-density foam insulation inside, they are significantly better than your existing roof at keeping the heat in. With our insulated conservatory roof…

Insurance-backed guarantee

CosyPanels is accredited by the Home Improvement Consumer Protection Scheme (HICS), giving homeowners an additional layer of independent protection. Once your completed installation is registered and your HICS Insurance-Backed Guarantee certificate is issued, the guarantee can protect you if the original installer were to cease trading and could no longer honour the terms of its own written guarantee. HICS accreditation also means installers are vetted before acceptance and customers have access to independent dispute-resolution support, providing extra reassurance before, during and after installation of your conservatory roof insulation.

Before and After CosyPanels

We have the technical measurements to prove CosyPanels work for improving heat efficiency and comfort of your conservatory. Don’t forget to visit our case study pages for more customer stories.

Measurement Before After CosyPanels*
Night-time heat loss 2.8°C/hour 0.9°C/hour
Energy required to maintain 20°C 2.1 kWh 0.8 kWh
Heat lost through the roof Polycarbonate roof 64% less
Sunny-day peak temperature 38.2°C 29.4°C
Cold-weather internal roof surface 8.1°C 17.3°C
Hours at comfortable temperature 7.3 hours/day 17.8 hours/day

*Average results measured during a test case. Heat lost through the roof is based on the manufacturer’s U-value of 0.87 W/m²K for the 36mm CosyPanels® we usually install, compared with 2.4 W/m²K for a typical polycarbonate roof; savings for the whole conservatory are smaller, as heat is also lost through the windows, walls and floor. Your results will depend on your conservatory.

Mr and Mrs Allen contacted us to discuss roofing options for their outdated polycarbonate roof of about 12 years old. The solution provided was to replace the roof with CosyPanels® conservatory roof panels. This would not only replace the roof but would also benefit the use of the conservatory as the Allens were finding it too hot or too cold making the conservatory at times unusable. The result was a new roof with insulation which…

Mr and Mrs Allen

Due to a couple of leaks and discolouration of the roof we were contacted to supply a replacement alternative roof due to the inherent issues Mr and Mrs Mercer faced with polycarbonate. They did not want to continue with the issues they had with noise and temperature control. CosyPanels® provided the solution at a cost comparative to polycarbonate which made the decision easy. This solution gave a…

Mr. & Mrs Mercer

The polycarbonate roof became a harvest for bugs and moisture. Over the years the polycarbonate was effective at keeping the elements out but was a real problem at providing a stable climate controlled space. We were contacted to demonstrate our innovative product which now replaces this out dated technology. We installed this solution in just one day and the results made a huge difference to the Walter’s…

Polycarbonate vs glass vs tiled roof vs multifoil ceiling vs CosyPanels®

How do the main options compare?

Polycarbonate is cheap but loses heat and overheats. Glass looks smart but still overheats: we regularly replace blue and grey solar-control glass roofs where customers were still too hot in summer. A tiled roof insulates best but costs the most and usually needs structural work. Multifoil isn’t a roof upgrade at all: it’s an internal ceiling fitted underneath your existing roof, which stays exactly as it is above it. It only marginally improves insulation, and experts warn that sealing the roof void can trap heat and moisture, risking condensation, damp and damage to the original structure. CosyPanels® replace the panes in your existing frame, upgrading the roof itself from one day.
